FIRST PASO FINO CLONE - "Capuchino Forever"

Welcome to the world, the first Paso Fino Clone ever…"Capuchino Forever," born May 2009 in Austin, Texas.

Briefly, to clone an animal, a sample of the animal's genes is provided to the lab in the form of an ear punch or small biopsy sample. A biopsy kit and a shipping container are provided for transport of the biopsy sample to the lab. The animal’s cells are cultured in the lab, and the DNA from those cells are transferred into eggs from which the genetic material of the eggs has been removed. The resulting embryos are grown in an incubator for several days and then transferred to the recipient mares or females via a traditional method of embryo transfer. The normal gestation period takes place until the critter decides to slide on out. Foals are ready to be handed over to the client at 60 days of age, pigs at approximately 40 pounds, and calves at about 7 months of age. DNA testing confirms identity.
