TROCHA, TROCHA Y GALOPE, TROTE Y GALOPE

TROCHA-TROTE-GALOPE NOW APPROVED IN THE UNITED STATES, the absolute ultimate ride in Diagonals…..At the PFHA Board of Directors meeting held in Orlando, Florida this year, a policy was adopted to admit other "Paso" modalities into PFHA-sanctioned shows beginning in 2009. This inclusion will allow Puro Trocha, Trocha y Galope, and Trote y Galope modalities to compete in PFHA-sanctioned shows that have previously been reserved only for the Paso Fino Horse. Classes will be offered for stallions and colts, mares and fillies, and geldings. In order to qualify to compete at the U. S. National level, each entry will have to obtain a  “Show Validation Certificate" from the Paso Fino Horse Association. Certificate issuance is dependent upon fulfillment of all necessary requirements. Appropriate fees and an original or a certified copy of the Certificate of Registration papers from any accepted registry, that is, an entity recognized as an accepted registry by the Association Board of Directors must accompany the application. Upon request, the Association will provide a list of Accepted Registries. Because Certificates of Validation may take time to complete during the inception of these new modalities in the U.S., PFHA will allow those horses to compete in the ensuing shows with the understanding that points will be withheld until all requirements are met; at which time, those earned points will be entered into the official PFHA records.

ATTA  (American Trote and Trocha Association), the official registry of the Diagonals, merged with IPHF (International Paso Horse Federation in July of 2009. ATTA will continue registering the Diagonals in the United States; and IPHF, as a part of their agenda, will offer the Diagonals Classes at their shows. In time, ATTA memberships will be converted to IPHF memberships upon expiration of those memberships in ATTA.
